Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is one of the most well-known and effective forms of therapeutic bodywork, designed to promote relaxation while supporting overall health and wellness. This technique uses massage oils or lotions along with a combination of specialized strokes, including long gliding movements, kneading, circular motions, and gentle percussion, to stimulate circulation and release muscle tension.

Swedish massage helps increase oxygen flow in the blood, improve circulation, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes. It is an excellent option for individuals seeking both relaxation and relief from everyday physical stress.

Benefits of Swedish Massage

• Relief from muscle aches and tension

• Reduced stress and improved relaxation

• Enhanced mental clarity and focus

• Improved circulation and lymphatic flow

• Increased flexibility and range of motion

• Overall sense of balance and well-being

This massage style is ideal for anyone looking to reduce stress, ease muscle discomfort, and support overall body wellness.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a therapeutic technique designed to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. This type of bodywork focuses on releasing chronic muscle tension and breaking up areas of tightness that may result from repetitive movements, poor posture, stress, or past injuries.

Using slow, focused pressure and specialized techniques, deep tissue massage works to relieve persistent discomfort, improve mobility, and restore healthy movement patterns in the body. It is especially beneficial for individuals experiencing chronic muscle pain, stiffness, or restricted range of motion.

Benefits of Deep Tissue Massage

• Relief from chronic muscle tension and tightness

• Improved posture and alignment

• Increased flexibility and range of motion

• Reduced inflammation and muscle stiffness

• Support for recovery from physical strain or injuries

Because deep tissue work focuses on deeper muscle layers, open communication during the session is important to ensure the pressure remains effective while still being comfortable for you.

It is also common to experience mild soreness after a deep tissue session, which typically resolves within a day or two. Drinking plenty of water after your massage is recommended to help support the body’s natural recovery and hydration.

Aromatherapy Scalp Massage

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These “knots” are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Chair Massage

Call to schedule a Chair Massage event for your employees!

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Gua Sha

Gua sha (pronounced gwah-shah) is a traditional East Asian healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to improve circulation and promote healing. The name comes from the Chinese word for "scraping" (gua) and "sand" (sha), which refers to the temporary, small red or purple bruises (petechiae) that may appear during the process.

Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), practitioners use gua sha to unblock the flow of qi, or life force energy, and address stagnant blood that is believed to cause inflammation and pain.
